The dependency on fuelwood consumption in developing Countries like Tanzania is about 85% compared to other sources of energy eg.Electricity and Gas. This high rate of fuelwood consumption has negatively affected natural forest conservation. There fore, various measures from different stakeholders are required to be put together for the main purpose of conserving the natural forest which provides a very valuable Ecosystem service. Energy Saving stoves adoption is among the project which GICD recommends because it has high energy saving capacity, cheaper, durable, easy to use and it is eco-friendly as it reduces environmental degradation through using less amount of fuelwood when compared to Traditional cooking stoves. Let us join the effort initiated by GICD in assisting the local community to adopt energy saving stoves.
